NCUA is an independent financial regulatory agency of the Federal government, responsible for chartering, supervising, examining, and insuring Federal credit unions. NCUA also insures state credit unions which apply and qualify for insurance.

The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) is the premier national trade association serving credit unions. Ninety percent of America's credit unions are affiliated with CUNA.

Through Consolidated Solutions, members of participating credit unions can purchase vehicles, boats, ATV’s, RV’s, snowmobiles, etc, at as many as 205 dealerships throughout the state of Maine and finance their purchase with their credit union on the spot, at the dealership.

Short-Term Disability and Whole Life Insurance are available to Credit Union Members who are employees of EMMC, EMHS, Acadia Hospital, or an Affiliate, and working 20 or more hours per week. These plans are offered at the beginning of each May and November during our open enrollment periods. Members currently enrolled may be eligible for a larger benefit as benefits do not automatically increase with salary.
